Located only 20 minutes from Auckland’s CBD in Kumeu’s wine-making district, with thousands of satisfied guests over the years, our 10-acre grounds and purpose built function venue are the perfect combination for a stand-out event.
Whether you are looking for a venue for a product launch, conference, team building activities, cocktail event, awards dinner or a combination of the above, we have an experienced team that will work with you to bring your vision to life. The flexibility of our venue offers a number of unique spaces including areas for breakout sessions, product display areas or exhibitor booths, as well as plenty of mingling space and beautiful gardens which your guests are welcome to explore on arrival and during break times or enjoy with canapés and beverages on arrival prior to a corporate dinner.
The perfect all-year-round events venue
Feel safe to plan your event at any point throughout the year, as we have immaculate gardens plus a large event venue that can accommodate up to 300 people, no matter the weather. Our venue is filled with natural daylight, including large floor-to-ceiling windows in our fireplace area, and walls of windows in our main reception room, both looking out to our gardens and water features.
These spaces can be divided from each other, by a set of six by-fold doors, or opened to create a nice indoor-outdoor flow together with the gardens.
Create a theme for your event
Whether your looking for a themed dress-code or totally themed venue to bring your vision to life for your event, we can assist. With our purpose-built venue we can hold anything from Kiwiana to Retro or Western to Medieval. You are able to bring your own theming company in or we can assist you to help create your theme.
We have beautiful gardens for guests to enjoy
Depending on the style of your event, you may want to use our gardens for activities, such as team building, fun games or casual dining before kicking off your event.They can also be used for pre-dinner drinks and canapes prior to your guests be seated for dinner.
Throughout the gardens we have petanque courts, giant jenga and croquet available for guests, and we can also help you organise other activities for your delegates.
Spoilt for choice
Choose from either our schist fireplace or under a canopy of vines and vintage lights, we can exclusively accommodate smaller and larger events as we have the ability to section off these spaces or open them up for your guests to enjoy. Set classroom style, banquet or cabaret style on our rectangle tables, theatre style with our comfy chairs or even something different, our venue provides an atmosphere that will definitely wow your guests.
Conference & Seminar
Markovina Vineyard Estate offers a unique location for your next company conference or seminar. The flexibility of our function room enables us to hold medium and larger groups, with areas for breakout spaces available. During breaks in the program, your guests can explore and relax in our expansive garden and covered courtyard areas.
Once the formalities are over, we can easily transform your conference space into a relaxed area to provide an enjoyable end of function event if you are looking to end the day with festivities.
