Altiora is a unique, flexible, contemporary space & venue for hire located at Te Matatiki Toi Ora - The Arts Centre, that is perfect for performance, receptions, launches, business events, networking, concerts, parties, workshops and more.
What is now called Altiora once served as a gymnasium, assembly hall and theatre for Christchurch Boys’ High, which was housed in the neighboring building. Built in 1908 with Gothic Revival hallmarks, heritage elements such as the skylight, wooden floors and exposed brick provide atmosphere in the interior. Today, Altiora is home to a circus and physical arts organisation, Cirko Kali.
