Our specialty is the final night of your conference, the night that will leave everyone talking - the highlight of the conference in Dunedin - held at our wonderful fairytale Castle.

Welcome your guests at the front door, perhaps with a lone piper playing on the turret. Start the celebrations with champagne on the veranda; lead your guests in to the Grand Ballroom for dinner.

We offer a wide range of menu choices, and service styles, from a buffet through to a much more formal three or four-course set menu served to the table.

We can accommodate audio and visual equipment for speeches, presentations, or awards.

The Ballroom can accommodate a maximum of 200 seated dinner guests. This can be increased to 270 seated guests with the addition of a Marquee.

Balls and Dances at Larnach Castle

A Conference Dinner can be accompanied by a Dance, or a Grand Ball can be organised from the outset, with a continuous supper.

We can advise of the most appropriate local live or DJ music options available. Our continuous supper menus are a perfect option for this type of event. The Ballroom can accommodate up to a maximum of 260 standing (and dancing) ball guests.

As William Larnach, the original owner and builder of Larnach Castle, was of Scottish descent, we specialise in Scottish evenings. A Haggis Ceremony can be arranged and guests are encouraged to dress up in tartan regalia.

Of course we are not limited in themes for your event. Larnach Castle is a Victorian dream home, so what better way to evoke the era than to array yourself in Victorian splendour. Equally, the grandeur of the surroundings can evoke the perfect formality required for a Black Tie event.
